I graduated from Texas State University- San Marcos where I received my BS in Geography with a concentration in GIS. I have been in the GIS/EM/9-1-1 field for over 11 years. I have been with Bay County Emergency Services for over 3 years as their Public Safety GIS/ 9-1-1 Specialist, AlertBay Administrator and WebEOC Administrator.
I am a certified GlSP as well as a certified Florida Professional Emergency Manager(FPEM). I have worked Emergency Operations during the disasters of Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, Tropical Storms Fay, Isaac, Gustav, Debbie to more recent Hurricanes Hermine, Matthew., Irma and Nate. I deployed back in 2014 during the Panhandle Flooding Event to Pensacola where I provided GIS support for the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center. In 2016, I was virtually deployed to assist the Region 1 IMTeam while they were in Flagler County EOC during Hurricane Matthew providing WebEOC support to them. This year during Irma I deployed prestorm fall to the Pinellas County EOC and served as their Situation Unit Leader within the Planning Section providing WebEOC and GIS support.
I am currently the Past President of Florida URISA and also volunteer my time in jumpstarting the Florida Emergency GIS Response Team.
