With the advent of NextGen 9-1-1, GIS has moved to the forefront of locating emergency Calls for Service (CFS). And while there has been talk of NG9-1-1 for years in the emergency response industry, most GIS professionals are relatively new to the topic. Fortunately, the GIS data preparation for NG 9-1-1 should not be too much of a stretch for GIS professionals, but it does require understanding the business case for how the data will be used by 9-1-1. Attend this session and hear from three speakers who have been performing the data prep work on the GIS side in order to transition more smoothly to the NG9-1-1 environment.

Attendance at this session will offer: 1.5 AICP credits
